If you’re wondering what’s going on with the war in Ukraine, and you support Zelenskyy, the now acclaimed, but unlikely, “defender of democracy, what America’s top general, Mark Melley, has to say won’t make your day.
Ukraine, Melley said, cannot win the war against Putin simply because… he, and his “democracy,” can’t. That the US and the EU have chosen to push Kiev to a never-ending conflict adds NOTHING to Ukraine’s inherent inabilities to crush the invasion in the requisite total fashion.
Pouring money and armaments into Kiev’s lap simply perpetuates an untenable situation, which mathematically increases the possibilities of a wider disaster—and, potentially, sets the stage for a less than acceptable outcome for the Western alliance.
But, who’s listening?
Iran continues to experience its worst outbreak of protests against the ayatollahs since the very inception of the dehumanizing Khomeinist Islamist regime. Thousands of protesters take to the streets daily battling it out with security forces.
The uprising has expanded further out from its initial spark, offered by the resistance of young women to the regime’s “morality police,” with protesters now targeting the mullah government itself and its iron grip over Iran.
So far, the mullahs continue to send out the police to deal with the protests, but it is almost certain that what may come next, and soon, would be the “militarization” of the effort to suppress the masses. And that may be the beginning of finally cracking the robed clerics’ stranglehold on the country.
With Islamist Turkey daily ratcheting up her aggression over the Greek Aegean, Erdoganist propaganda news organizations are also raising a ruckus over Hellenic Air Force fighters supposedly “interfering” with Turkish air force intruders flying into sovereign Hellenic air space to participate in a “NATO exercise.”
This is classic Ankara disinformation, part of Erdogan’s effort to paint his Islamist domain as the “innocent” party being bullied by the recalcitrant Greeks attempting to rob Türkiye of her “legitimate” territorial rights.
Ankara is justifiably concerned over expanding US-Greece defense cooperation and a rather chilly climate emerging even within the EU, whose traditional stance on the Greek-Turkish dispute has been lukewarm “neutrality.” But, given Erdogan’s blatant warmongerism and shrill daily threats, such tiptoeing makes things worse and brings a disastrous conflict in the Aegean closer by the day.
That Ole Joe (Biden) is incapable of carrying out his presidential duties is obvious by now to even 10-year olds—and this is an undisputed fact. Yet, the American system apparently is at a bind on what to do with a White House run by a man who definitely CANNOT rock and roll, especially today when a steady hand is needed as never before in recent memory.
The midterms simply complicated the dead-end at the top of the US government and we’ll now have to live for two more years peppered by Congressional mud-slinging cockfights when the global situation demands top gun performance at the epicenter of US government.
