Amazing Grace - dedicated to the fallen
... and especially those innocent presently being exterminated in the horrid genocidal cauldron of Palestine
There is something mysteriously romantic and soothing in the lament of the Scottish bagpipe. The Scots are vastly most honorable and honest than the English, a rugged bunch with a particular sense of honor and justice. I appreciate their tenacity and perseverance through a tumultuous history full of both victories and bloody defeats.
Amazing Grace is my all-time favorite when I struggle to contemplate the barbarities of this unjust, sick, and suicidal world. And the rugged expanses of Scotland remain to this day my favorite environment for quiet introspection and the remembering of those who gave their lives in defense of worthy causes but, also, those millions of innocents who are destroyed daily across an increasingly violent, unjust, bloodthirsty and unequal world.
I am deeply saddened finding myself incapacitated from disease and depression that has turned me into a struggling mere husk of a man and prohibits even the slightest thought of traveling back to the land of the Scots (and every other land to boot) for a final visit before the Father above calls me by His side.
And my humble advice to all is do what you can do today because you never know what awaits just right the next corner.
And always pray not to run into malicious and hateful people, who enjoy destroying the lives of others.
Remember the old Scottish adage: “WHIT’S FUR YE’LL NO GO PAST YE” — “If it’s meant to be, then it will happen for you”.
